3 Cultural highlights in Ansbach The former seat of the dukes of the „House of Hohenzollern“ has left visible marks and landmarks in the city. You can feel the magic of the Rococo era when you walk around the town center and visit the Palace, our baroque synagoge or the church of St. Gumbertus. The highlights during the year are the Rococo festival in the beginning of July, the Bachwoche Ansbach (every second year in August), the Kaspar Hauser festival (every other second year in August) the Green Night (every second year in September) and all of our markets like our Street Food market (Ansbacher Mess – Food & Feines) in spring. A must-see is definitely the Old Town festival (Altstadtfest), held every year in the beginning of June. You also have to experience the regional food, flowers and the unique flair in our market place every Wednesday and Saturday morning. The small shops and boutiques in the city center and at the shopping mall also offer interesting products and concepts like unpacked products to reduce packaging waste.
