Neustadt am Kulm Das wohl bekannteste Ausflugsziel Neustadts ist der 682 Meter hohe Rauhe Kulm mit seinem 25 Meter hohen Aussichtsturm, durch den man einen herrlichen Blick über die Gegend hat. Der Vulkan, der nie zum Ausbruch kam, ist etwa 21 Millionen Jahre alt. Der Rauhe Kulm ist seit 1949 als Naturdenkmal geschützt und Teil des Naturparks Nördlicher Oberpfälzer Wald. Besuchen sollte man außerdem die wunderschöne barocke Stadtkirche, die Friedhofskirche und die Mockersdorfer Pfarrkirche St. Michael, deren Inneres ein Juwel dörflich sakraler Baukunst im Rokoko-Stil ist.
