The castle tower, the “Zehentstadl” and the St. Ulrich parish church with its Asam paintings and the trout creek rising right from underneath the church are the landmarks of Hohenfels. Directions Hohenfels can be reached via rural roads, the state road 2234 arriving from the west, crossing the town center and leaving in southeast direction. Tourism The Hohenfels countryside offers many recreational opportunities. The open-air swimming pool in Großbissendorf is worth mentioning. On hot summer days, you can tan in the sun or cool down in the water. The guest and nature lover is offered a diversity of walking and hiking trails throughout the Hohenfels countryside, with its interesting Flora and Fauna.
