2 G R E E T I N G F R O M M A Y O R M A R T I N S T A A B Ladies and gentlemen, Dear new citizens of Radolfzell, Welcome to Radolfzell am Bodensee. I am de lighted that you have decided to make your home in our beautiful town. It is a diverse town that has a lot to offer: Radolfzell – Health resort and tourist destination Radolfzell am Bodensee, the only town on Lake Constance to feature this addition to its name, is set in scenic surroundings. Not only is it a recognized health resort, but also an attractive holiday destination for visitors of all ages. Radolfzell – Ideal for families Families can look forward to a wide choice of childcare options, ranging from nurseries for under-threes to holiday clubs at the elemen tary schools, as well as countless leisure ac tivities. Radolfzell – Environmentally and climate- friendly A three-time winner of the European Energy Award (EEA), Radolfzell considers itself a vi brant, environmentally friendly town. Two flagship projects – the solar energy village of Liggeringen and the bioenergy village of Greeting from Mayor Martin Staab Möggingen – play an important role in this. A further focus is on the town’s mobility con cept and promoting public transportation. Sustainable, climate-friendly mobility has been defined as a key topic in the urban devel 0opment plan for 2030. Radolfzell – Business hub The innovative industrial park “BLURADO” sets new standards. Germany’s first industrial zone that aims to power itself exclusively with renewable energy is being built in Radolfzell. Sustainability is a key success factor for com panies and for our town’s development. Radolfzell – City of music Music has always played an important role in our town – whether it’s the music society, the youth brass band, or the great musical tradition in the surrounding villages. It can be heard at the evening markets or at various concerts, such as the Seefestival on the Kon zertsegel stage in the town park that drew en thusiastic crowds again in 2019 for the second time with brass music. Radolfzell – City of culture From the Hausherrenfest, which honours the town’s patron saints, to carnival, and from art exhibitions to the International Day, this town on Lake Constance boasts a varied programme of cultural events. We are particularly looking forward to hosting the Heimattage festival in 2021, which will return to Lake Constance after 43 years. Civic participation in Radolfzell As well as an active council of elders, Radolf zell has a dedicated council for youth affairs. Moreover, information evenings for residents and activities promoting civic participation are organized as part of the “step2030” project, with the aim of giving the people of Radolfzell an opportunity to help shape the town. We continue to pursue our goal of promoting and developing Radolfzell as a town that wel comes all generations. This is anchored in our urban development plan. More relaxation and more tourism, more family, more climate and environmental protection, more business, more music and culture, more citizens, more Radolfzell! It’s great to have you here!
